Wall Space

Usually, the one of the first things I do when I move into a new place is to hang artwork on the walls. More often than not, the boxes of saucepans and cutlery will remain unopened but the house has a lived-in look. That way I feel at home, it feels inviting.

For some reason, this time, after having lived here for more than six months, most of my walls remain bare except for empty picture hooks that taunt me every day.

It's time to remedy that.

For the living dining room I'm tossing up between three options...

A Japanese woodblock print bought on our Christmas travels one year, but needs framing...

A series of three images from Kyoto that I could get printed tomorrow and I already have the frame ready to go...
Or maybe I could get a canvas printed up of another image from Kyoto...

Any thoughts?

Ok, I totally thought after seeing that woodblock that it was going to be an easy choice...and then I scrolled down and saw the next 2 choices...and now I can't choose. Can I come live at your house? XOXO

All very nice, but I like the canvas idea. You can get them panorama like that too (can you tell I work in a photo store?!) That one would look great.

I love option 2 the most - there's something about the red that just pops out!

I love all three, but option 3 - the tree and the red hallway from Kyoto is my absolute favourite. It is so calm and vibrant at the same time. Sorry, I don't think I made you choice any easier. The more people you ask the more opinions you'll get ;-)

I like the last one best for a dining room, but make sure you do something with all of them! They are too good not to.

Um, all of them, all at once? Seriously, I think you'll have to flip a coin, they're all fabulous!

I really like number two. Really really like number two. Was all ready to suggest that one... and then I read Liam's Mommy's comment and had to agree! The last one would look really nice in a dining room.

Pretty pretty pretty!!

I think option 2 by a whisker - all are lovely, all that red looks lucky!

What a dilemma, but why stop at one? Put them all up and let them fight it out between themselves!

i really like option 2 and think the red is perfect for you, however, if you can get option 3 done up on a large panorama canvas i think that would be very calming and relaxing and maybe that is just what your house needs now? (i do like the first image too)... perhaps, 1 in craft space, 2 in bedroom (i imagine they are smallish and you are framing together), and 3 large in living space.
