My Creative Space

I'm in a pre-market panic now... So many things I want to get made and only a very limited number of hours left. Tonight I'm working on a bunch of zip purses and make up pouches. I need now to try to find a balance between being efficient to minimise time spend on changing colours of thread and sewing machine feet and making sure I actually don't get left with a large number of purses, but none of them actually finished...

And then there is always the siren's song of the new idea that I just want to try....

i know the panic feeling a little too well! good luck mel! (and isn't amazing the new ideas never come to you when you are sitting twiddling your thumbs!)

New ideas can be so wonderful, yet so DISTRACTING! I hope the market goes well for you.

What is it with that new idea thing? Mine usually arrive just as I'm sitting down to design some 66 page financial document with a tight deadline (that was last week).

I do that as well, sew a whole lot of black things, and then red things etc. But there is nothing like good music and sugary drinks to make you want to work faster!

Keep a notebook handy to write down those new ideas - then come back to them when you take a break. And please do take a break!

I'm a little like you at the moment, having decided to have a stall at my school Christmas Community Event. I'm madly trying to get as much done as I can, trying to decide what's best to do (ie what might sell well in this setting) and resisting the urge to diversify at the last minute!
Good luck!
