This is... what I'm surprised I like...

... well kinda like... well OK - trying to like...

yoghurt.

"The earliest yoghurts were probably spontaneously fermented by wild bacteria living on the goat skin bags carried by nomadic people." From Wikipedia.

Really, it sounds so appealing... no wonder I didn't like it..

I've hated yoghurt all my life. I've decided that now I'm an adult (well have been for many years now), that it was time that I learnt how to eat yoghurt. I'm sure I'd like it a lot more if I could add berries to it, but I'm allergic to them...

So for now, I'm eating a little tub of yogurt every month or so. Yesterday I added a few sultanas (raisins) and Special K to it and made it the whole way through the little tub. I was so proud of myself.

Thank you to Victoria for this week's theme and to Angela, the fabulous hostess of This is...

If you can get hold of an EasiYo kit, try making your own (I think its a NZ company that exports). Its cheap and easy and the yoghurt tastes very nice - you can put a bit of sugar and a big splash of vanilla in it. Very palatable!

Why do you need to eat yogurt?? Is it the calcium, or the good bacteria? If it's the good bacteria, just get yourself some probiotics...will do a much better job, anyway. :p

That being said, I LOVE yogurt, lol.

I'm not a big yoghurt fan either (more of a chocolate yogo kind of girl)...but I absolutely love garlic yoghurt sauce just using greek yoghurt and mince garlic. It's delicious with lamb or chicken or on salad.

Hoppo Bumpo has the right idea. My mum has one of those Esiyo things and it's super easy to make and you can put your own toppings on it! I like to get the plain yoghurt and put in on fresh fruit salad, add chopped up dried fruit and nuts or serve it with desserts that usually need cream. Good luck with it!!

I tried just taking a photo of the cupboards in available light (which is pretty bright sunlight coming through glass blocks) ...and also with the lights on in the room... neither works very well. The lovely soft sage green just looks like light brown new wood in the electric lights...and it looks almost white in the daylight... neither looks like it does to me in real life....sigh.... ah well... I will take a picture of the new knobs or something instead... ...hahahhah

Yup, I'm an EasiYo gal too. I must say, it takes a bit for me to have it with cereal though. My partner has muesli with yogurt alone (no milk) I can't do that yet.

But a big dollop on top of some curry, mmmmm :)
