You know it's going to be a pretty good day when your local craft shop has a sale. I didn't pick up many fabrics, as that store's fabric stock is waaaay overpriced, even when on sale. But the sale was a good time to stock up on thread, pick up some new cutting tools, a couple of craft books and such.
Rather than go home and work as planned, I treated myself to a magazine (American fashion, so an import, so at import prices, it really was a treat) and a visit to Starbucks for a cup of tea (which I've mostly cut out) and scrumptious cookie.
Had a wonderful "chat" to the cutest nine month old baby while in the line at the supermarket.... the chat did bring me a few tears as well, but we still have hope...
Big Cat had some lovely links on her post today that really helped me with some of my blogging guilt I've been feeling of late. I'm so behind in acknowledging some awards and tags, replying to comments and visiting people lately. Sorry everyone! I hope to be back on top of things soon, though feel like I've been saying that for way too long now.
And then to top it off, tonight I have a dinner and movie date with my husband. As well as my blog, he's been neglected of late too, so time to put some energy into "us".
Hope everyone is have a fabulous Friday and looking forward to the weekend ahead. Thanks to Big Cat for sharing the Friday love.

have fun on your dinner date...what are you going to watch?
blogging is fun but sure can take up some time...everything in moderation I say!!
Sounds like a very nice Friday. Always good to get to a sale, even if its just a spot of window shopping. Have fun on your evening out!
Sounds like a lovely day - totally understand where you're coming from with both the blogging guilt, and the neglecting your husband thing...I'm actually in the process of organising some babysitting so Matt and I can have some 'couple' time :) And I am starting to think that many many bloggers struggle with blogging guilt too - I've been reading a lot about it lately. The up side of that is that everyone understands, and is totally happy to cut heaps of slack :) Hope your weekend is wonderful! Cheers, Bec.
I had date night with Ms L last night too. It is so nice to get out together for some quality time.
Sounds like a lovely Friday-enjoy your Saturday and Sunday as well:)
Have a good weekend Melanie! Start next week all new again! ^_^
Have a lovely happy weekend!
Oh I know what you mean about the guilt! I'd love to spend more time replying and posting and visiting as well, but sometimes life is just too busy...As Bec said, everyone understands which is great!! Have a lovely date night!
I hope you enjoyed your "date" :)
Hope you had a great date night with hubby, and a fabulous weekend!
It sounds like such a lovely time relaxing with the tea and a magazine! I know what you mean about the import prices... I also know what you mean about being behind... when I don't have time to read my favorite blogs (yours included) I really miss it.
