What I'm playing with today

I'm having a bag cutting day and these are the fabulous pieces I'm playing with.

This weekend, I'm selling at a market with a friend and am busily sewing up a storm. You may notice that these are all black based... I promise I do have other colours as well, but I'm starting off with black thread in my machine.

As part of the cutting process, I match each piece to a kimono fabric for the lining.

I just loooove this spider lily obi! Sadly, it was a Nagoya obi, so I will only get two bags out of it.... I think I may have to keep one bag for myself.... I think the black and red matsu pine kimono fabric in the background is the perfect lining for it.
Hope to have some results to show soon...
