Nouss Nouss Nice!

Sorry, I know that title was not my best work, but in my won defense, I have a head cold and so my brain is a bit muddled....

One thing that I really liked about my first fabric giveaway was that I found many more bloggers and Flickr-ers. The scary thing was that I found lots more stuff that I want to buy....

On these freezing cold days one that really caught my eye was this fabulous scarf by Alice over at Nouss Nouss. I love the rich colour combination, something that would cheer up a dreary day like the one outside my window today. She makes fabulous bags too, lovely and girly, gorgeous fabrics, velvet ribbons, I'm such a sucker for velvet ribbons.

I love this style of scarf as well. I have to confess, being a Queensland girl, I'm lost when it comes to scarves. I know that must sound really silly. They look like such a simple item and most women here wear them with such panache. Where-as on me, they just look like something I've wrapped around my neck with the ends hanging like some dead animal. I figure, with a scarf like this, I couldn't get it wrong, right?

I felt the same way about scarves (I grew up in HOT sunny Southern California) until I lived in Paris. After blatantly mimicking all of the chic Parisians for a winter, I finally started to get the hang of it and not feel like such a dork. I still haven't quite gotten that far with hats though.

That sure is a lovely scarf and I'm sure it will look very chic on you!

Hey Fuji Mama, it's good to know I'm not the only one, and well, I certainly haven't got the hang of hats either. I think I may not have a "hat face". So wow, you lived in France as well!

Hey Jenny, sadly this scarf has already been sold, but I'm thinking of asking her to make me another one in the same colour scheme.

That's a nice scarf. You sort of modeled it so elegantly. Maybe I should consider learning to put on one in winter.
