I've discovered something over the last couple of months. I really don't like winter. I hate being cold, it makes me so grumpy and all I want to do is hide under the covers and eat. What is it about the cold weather that makes you eat? For someone who doesn't like being cold, a Japanese school is really not the place you want to be! Mind you, I've probably bitched enough about that on My Life As A Gaijin. I probably should explain, I grew up in warm sunny Queensland where winter is that short time of year I may have to wear a long sleeved t-shirt rather than a tank top and jeans become more comfortable. Maybe once a year, I'll get a chance to wear my leather jacket. Even then, when the mercury drops to the low 20s degrees celcius, I complain about it being too cold.
Finally this weekend, there seemed a point to the cold weather - snow! I love snow, at least for a few days. It makes everything so pretty and clean. This is what my neighbour's place looked like a couple of days ago.
Now I've had my snow fix for the year, I'm ready for the warm weather again, bring on Spring!
