It's like Christmas. DH and my faces are beaming, grinning from ear to ear as we excitedly open random boxes and rediscover our stuff. Our beautiful Japanese ceramic plates, wedding presents from dear friends, were the first to come out. We're really over eating off picnic plates like we have been for the last two months.
Out of those 43 boxes of stuff, 23 were destined for my workroom. 23 boxes filled with fabrics, papers, craft books, inspiring artwork, a desk and a sewing machine (not the one in the picture - that's the loaner from my mum I've been using while waiting for mine to arrive). 
23 boxes to help keep the homesickness for Japan at bay for a while. 23 boxes filled with things to help bring bits of Japan to life in Australia.
I've promised my doctor, my husband and friends that I will take it easy unpacking the boxes, a great excuse to slowly, lovingly revisit my stuff.PS. Notice a very preggie belly sticking out in the corner there!
