Movies to Work By

Oh how I love a good period drama... the costumes, the scenery, the heartbreaking romance...

When I'm working I have some tasks that are quite repetitive.  I can easily sit for an eight hour day cutting out tiny circles of fabric for my pendants, to then follow it with another half day of setting the fabric into silver bases before preserving it under resin.  During those times, my dvd collection gets quite a workout.

On regular repeats are anything by Jane Austen, Little Dorrit, The Tudors, Bright Star and Tess of the D'Urbervilles.  There are a few in the trailer above that I haven't seen before and should check out.

How about you?  Are you a costume drama fan?  Any you recommend?

While the Cat's Away... (part 3)

... the mouse will rent out lots of light, fluffy girl movies that the cat would have no interest in seeing.

Mind you, the mouse can only pick movies by looking at the pictures on the cover as she can't read the covers and knows nothing about the light, fluffy movies, so sometimes the light, fluffy movies turn out to be not so light and fluffy. It's like Christmas, you're never quite sure what you're going to get.
