Twas the day before a market
And all through the house,
There was a flurry of activity,
...mouse... louse... dowse... strauss... ok, forget the rhyme, you get the idea...
Lots of last minute preparations going on today. Pieces are getting packaged... I'm really pleased the new String of Cranes fit snugly into my usual brooch box....
And some business cards worked perfectly I think, to card a couple of single crane brooches.
Still lots more to do today. The kanzashi flowers need to be hand stitched onto their backing felt and then the brooch/pendant backs sewn on...
And I'd really like to finish three more kimono cranes.
And why is it that I always think of new display ideas at the very last minute? I'd like to make a new business name sign, some strings of paper cranes to make my stall look more festive, more paper cranes to give people with their purchase, and The Man has informed me that, no, in this weather, the painting I want to do will not dry in time.
So tomorrow it's on, rain or shine.
Saturday 4th December 9am - 4pm
St Augustine's Church, Racecourse Road, Hamilton.
Hope to see you there!

All your pieces are gorgeous of course. Those kimono crane mobiles are stunning.
You've gotta love the ideas that pop up when you're trying to get all the last bits finished. Everything looks lovely, and I'm super-impressed with your work space... so elegant and orderly. How do you maintain it? My area looks like a haberdashery exploded!
So, it's all coming along nicely, then? You really should have a factory with 100 employees doing this! You're amazing!
I love your work so much!
Have a great weekend!
Good luck ! Hope it's a sell out.
Beautiful! Good luck with your market (not that you need it!)
With Christmas approaching I'm missing all the holiday craft markets...
Mel uses her nouse,
Broaches and necklaces are packaged and stacked with care,
In the knowledge that market day was almost there.....
I've had a couple of G&T's and a wine after work!!!!;) I'll stop trying to rhyme now too- it's too hard.
Good luck. Your displays always look great from what I can tell through the magic of blog land. Looking forward to seeing the new ideas if you get round to it for another market!
I hope it all went well!
