A Dream, A Crazy Tokyo Dream

A little part of me had been hoping to go to Japan in the first part of the year next year. I had been thinking of planning it so that I could be in Tokyo in May for the Design Festa Volume 31. As plans have been put back, I'm thinking that maybe, just maybe I could make it to Volume 32 in November.

Then I had a crazy dream... one that I've had since I went to Volume 28, one of the most mind blowing events I've ever been to. A dream that I had cast aside quite a while ago... imagine, just close your eyes and imagine, not just visiting the Design Festa, but actually being a part of it, having a stall between all that amazing Tokyo funkiness...

You can see some more Volume 28 funkiness here and more images from that one and beyond here.

You should totally work towards making your dream come true. Your things are so lovely, and perfect in the setting. And once again: I want to go to Tokyo!!!

You Go Girl! I have been a quiet fan of yours for the last, yikees! year! I found you on my Aussie friends blog. I also found TimTams double yum. I just started my own blog and you are on my fav. list. First I must tell you I AM A CANCER WARRIOR (I like that better than survivor) So the good news is you both have a fight on your hands. But a very good one. IT'S FOR LIFE AND LOVE...... most powerful combination of success! Now to the fun stuff my motto is WHY NOT! I ONLY WISH I COULD BE THERE TOO BUYING AND SELLING. fondly bumblebee

Do it! When I lived in Nagoya in '01, I helped my friend from Spain set up her own booth there. We had a blast those 2 days, and she even sold a few of her paintings. It's an experience you'll never forget!

If you can imagine it, then you can make it happen.

I don't think it's a crazy dream - I think it could and will happen!

It was so nice to meet you on the weekend. Sorry I have taken so long to reply! I am saddened to hear about your husband and I hope he makes a quick recovery. Just remember to take some time for yourself also. I love the idea of your stall amongst the Japanese 'funkiness'. P.S Your things are funky too!

Even if it's Volume 33, there just isn't a decision to make. Is there?

Definitely aim for it!

I think volume 28 was the one that I went to- I had plans to go to the one in November just gone but pre-term labour issues meant I had to stay home. Definitely want to go next year!
