Lessons I'm Learning from my Daughter

Marvel at every sight and every sound, each and every one of them is magical.

Smile at those you love when you haven't seen them for a while, even if that "while" has only been 30 seconds.

Savour and enjoy every feed.

Play with all your might.

It's not always the expensive toys that are the most fun.

Learn something new every day.

Enjoy books, look at them, touch them, taste them.

Talking to yourself is fun. Singing at the top of your voice is fun too.

Cuddles are wonderful.

Admire and smile at yourself in the mirror, if you do that, you know you'll always get a smile and admiration back.

Sleep often and sleep well.

Thank you also to all the lovely comments on my "monster" post. He's still hanging around the house, but with all the kind words, I've managed to beat him into a corner so that he's only game to voice a whisper every now and then.

Oh Melanie she is so so gorgeous! Not sure why the monster is visiting you, surely he must have the wrong address as you have absolutely nothing to worry about, your work is just gorgeous.

You're so very right and have such a heart to pick all this wisdom up and share it. I feel like I should print that post out and stick it on the wall or in my wallet. It's a great reminder. Thank you Melanie!

Is there any sight more beautiful than a sleeping baby? Well, a laughing baby is right up there too.
She is just beautiful, hon.

Awwww, what a beautiful little girl. I always have to restrain myself when they are sleeping like that, because it makes me want to cuddle and kiss them really bad! :)

What a sweetie pie! The first years are precious and they will be gone with the wind before you even realise that your baby has become a toddler! Every night, I would make myself a cuppa hot tea while the kids are asleep and I would relive the day's events and see how I can make it better. We only live once and we have to make the best out of it! ^_^

Beautiful post, she's gorgeous. I love the sleep well and sleep often lesson, something I've never really learnt but need to.
