Making My Own Jeans

Well... not literally. I don't have that much confidence in my sewing abilities.

I did though, a couple of weeks ago, convert a few pairs of old jeans and work pants (that may not have been going back to Australia with me) into maternity pants. It was surprisingly easy. I used this tutorial on Craftster. Some worked better than others, depending on the t-shirt I used. If I was to make any more, I'd probably try this tutorial by SewChic, as it appears to give a lot more support.

Sorry, no pictures yet, I'm feeling more round than pregnant these days, so I may wait a little while longer before revealing my bump.

But, anyway, that wasn't the jeans making I was referring to. Instead, for the first time, I used the Make Your Own Jeans site. I've been wanting to do it for months, but finally, due to the fact that all of my jeans are about to fall apart, I plucked up the courage. They even have a maternity jeans option. I'm a little nervous, the results of the custom-made clothes I had done in Vietnam were mixed, so I'm really hoping these work out.

It will be a few weeks until I get them, but I'll let you know how they are. In the meantime, cross your fingers for me!

I'll be fascinated to see how the Make Your Own Jeans work out. I'd be a bit nervous too. It's a great idea though.

How is the packing and organising going?
