A Very Happy Mail Week

I'm a self confessed postaman stalker. And he was in my good books this week! Mind you, that will happen if you shop online too much. I try to be "good" and save money and then blow a bunch at once. Mind you, it is fun.

This parcel arrived with some resin moulds and jewellery making supplies....

This parcel arrived with some more jewellery making supplies and some other fun stuff to play with....

This parcel arrived with some gorgeous work by Kylie. The photo really doesn't do them justice, but her work is just beautiful with a touch of whimsy, and Japanese influenced to boot! Check out her Etsy store, Mizu Designs, here.

And lastly, a parcel of books. So far, I've only flipped through the Resin Jewellery book and am very excited. I haven't started the Artist's Way, but have nearly finished Bar Flower, which I'm loving.

To be honest, these all came at a great time, I needed a bit of cheering up. I haven't really talked about it much, but have been sick for the last six months. Not seriously ill, but frustratingly, exhaustingly sick. That's why not a lot of crafting has been done on this blog of late. But hopefully, I'll have some answers soon, even though answers seem to take much longer to come by here. Then I'll be back to my usual happy, productive self and I'll have lots of fun stuff to play with!

I'm so glad you have the Artists Way :)

The first time I tried it I only got 3 weeks in because the tasks became too much for me. The second time I got all the way through because I only did what I could within a time limit I set for myself (one sitting usually). I know it's cheating, but it was the only way I was going to be able to read it. One day I'll do it again properly.

Enjoy!

I have the same problem with online shopping - I've just had a mini splurge and am looking forward to parcels :)

I like the Artist's Way a lot. I've used it severally over the years, doing as many weeks as it takes for me to get back to being a happy creator. Hope you find it works for you too.

Be patient with yourself with the AW and if you can find a group to do it with it can add quite a bit of incentive to sticktoit. Some of us do our morning pages diligiently and happily but many of us find it hard to make the Artist Date time.

I started it once...and stopped. Then did it all in 1997 and had a major life shift. I did it all again last year before I made the decision to retire.

Hope it helps you to heal into wellness.

I'm so sorry to hear you haven't been well. Illness that goes on and on can really get you down after a while. It's great that you are staying positive though, and I hope you get some resolution soon. Glad to hear that the lovely parcels you have been receiving in the mail are inspiring you. There's nothing like happy mail to put a big smile on your face!!! Take care of yourself, Bec.

Ooh, when you next come to Melbourne, you also have to do the Resin Jewellery making course at the CAE, it was great, and you can use all your newfound supplies there !!

Very exciting Mail Week for you Melanie!! - I haven't looked into resin jewellery yet - might be better for me to leave it alone for a while - as I have too many crafts on the go now - Just a quick note to let you know that the Melly & Me patterns are back in stock as well - Hope you get up to some more crafting soon

Hope you are feeling brighter soon! Your mail this week looks really great. Have fun with the resin jewellery making. Nothing like some crafty mail and books to lift the spirits.

I love happy mail. The resin book looks good as so those supplies.

So sorry to hear you haven't been well. I can relate - my partner has been frustratingly, exhaustingly sick for 18 months now and it is just no fun at all. Hope the answers you are getting bring a swift return to full health.

I have The Artist's Way and the resin jewelery book - fantastic. If anything will get you motivated, The Artist's Way will do it... and then the Resin Jewelery book is ready and waiting. Have fun.

Hope you are feeling better! I know it isn't easy, but rest is the best medicine, it's just there are so many things to be doing!
