I've just finished my fabric burn tests for the week before I list my vintage kimono fabrics on eBay. I have to confess, my poor little apartment now smells like burnt hair from the different silks.
I'm still getting the hang of identifying the different fabric from the burn tests. Some are easy and others confuse me a little.
Can anyone out there help me? I still have a lot to learn. I have a list that I got from here that explains the characteristics of how different fabrics burn, but I still feel a little in the dark. I imagine that if I had examples of fabrics that I knew where different types, could test them, see and smell for myself how they burn, it would help me be more confident knowing when I'm testing vintage fabrics. If anyone can help me, I'm more than willing to do a fabric swap, and I'll send a pack of vintage kimono fabrics.
Please help! Just leave a comment or email me on the address at the side if you can help.
