More from Sai So

Some more of Sai So's stunning work using old kimonos. I believe the top one may have used an uchikake, a wedding kimono and the bottom one a tomesode. I found these images on:

Mel and I are now in the middle of buying a lot of new stock. We are starting to look at the larger items including some furisode, tomesode and uchikake kimonos. We hope to be putting them in the store soon. Keep an eye out for them at:

I have also had some fun buying some pieces for myself to play with. I have to confess, I'm not the best seamstress, but have been lucky enough to hear of a local dressmaker that specialises in "Kimono Reform". I will visit her soon and get some dresses made up. Once I have them, I'll put them up on the site for you to see.

In the meantime, happy "reforming"!

Ahhhh, I really love the black dress with the Tomesode feature. Wanna see if that specialist of yours thinks she can re-make something similar for me to celebrate my 'return-to-form'?

Wouldn't that be something to work towards? :)
