This is... something I got, but still haven't used

Thanks Flossy-P for this week's This is… theme. Over on this blog, we could also call it Melanie's Hall of Shopping Shame, as it is going to be proof of how I really do shop far more than I make.

Living in a small apartment, knowing that in the not-too-distant future, I'm going to have to pack up and send everything home again, we have to think hard about the things we buy. I do however, seem to be able to justify craft purchases to myself all the time, and so am building up a large collection of things to play with once I get some energy back.

So, here goes...
A whole stack of resin jewellery supplies, some fun handbag handles and lots of patterns and kits. With summer on its way, I really should break out that skirt pattern.
And also a little hint... I'm planning a Tokyo Weekend Giveaway very soon (hopefully in the next few days). Here's a sneak peek at what will be in it....

  4. Oh, now, you just had to go and throw that teaser out there, didn't you. It looks like you had a lot of fun on your trip into the "big city"...I'm jealous! My only time spent in Japan at all was at the Tokyo airport :( and for someone who is Japanese, that's just really sad.
    Looking forward to your giveaway!!

ps. sorry about the deleted comment, it had so many typos that I just couldn't let it stay.

  5. Look at all those wonderful patterns. I also buy more than I make..oops..sometimes the fabric is just to good to be true and it might be gone the next time Im there, but I always reason I will use it one day. I have my grandmas remnant gene...she loved them and so do I :)
    Looking forward to you giveaway.
    Cheers Kyla

  8. I looked at each one of thosew little squares of carft goodies and got excited about each one... I've always wanted to try making resin jewellery, and use handbag handles, and I have a purse frame (so far unused) too!

It all looks like good fun stuff. I hope you find the time to make it all one day soon :)

(p.s. give away looks like it's going to be great!)

  18. They are just too tempting aren't they - all those rafting goodies that we have trouble finding the time and space to explore. If it makes you feel any better - you are definitely NOT alone.
    Have fun.

  19. Hi Melanie :)

Thanks so much for your lovely wishes and comment. It's so nice to be back! Quite a busy month...but I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm gearing up for my first weekend in business and getting rather excited!

Are you going to be moving back to Australia? x.

Thank you for taking time to comment, I treasure each and everyone one of them. I always reply to them in my head, but must confess, these days it takes me much longer to actually email that reply.
