We have a similar item. It's supposed to be a lucky thing, when you get it you make a wish, and you paint one of his eyes on. When your wish is granted, you paint the other eye on. My partner received it as a gift from a Japanese exchange student he had staying with him many years ago. Do you know what it is called?
